Stokes Vector Mode for Polarization in ASAP 2009 V1R1 (Demo Movie)
The polarization effect of a simple glass interface on incident unpolarized light is analyzed using the Stokes polarization mode. We see that at the Brewster angle, the reflected light is fully polarized, while at a slightly greater angle of incidence, the reflected light is highly, but incompletely, polarized. The polarization visualization of sources with randomized polarization, including varying degree-of-polarization, is then explored using the Poincaré Sphere Visualization Tool. Using the PSVT's DOP slider feature, sources with disparate DOPs are distinguished and examined in turn.
