Liquid Crystal Cell (LCC) in ASAP 2009 V1R1 (Demo Movie)

The Liquid Crystal Cell (LCC) command allows extremely flexible descriptions of liquid crystal cell designs, with multiple ways to describe the orientation of the crystal director. The command is first demonstrated in its simplest form, varying only the twist orientation parameter in a linear fashion along the depth coordinate of a normally-white twisted-nematic cell in the "bright" state. This result is then compared to a model in which both tilt and twist are varied according to a data table. Finally, the "dark" state of the same cell is simulated using ASAP mathematical expressions to describe the tilt and twist functions.
